Penn State President Eric. J. Barron and Penn State health and safety officials announced on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, that due to the coronavirus pandemic, Penn State will move to remote learning for all classes beginning Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3, with a plan to resume face-to-face classes on Monday, April 6, at the earliest.
As part of this announcement, the University also indicated that all non-essential events should be canceled, rescheduled, or offered virtually though Monday, April 6, regardless of the size of the event.
At this time, JASI’s law enforcement leadership training courses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut, offered through the Criminal Justice Professional Training unit, have been canceled from Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3.
As soon as JASI is back in full operating capacity, all courses will be rescheduled and all registrants notified of the new course dates. If you would prefer a refund rather than a rescheduled course date, you will receive one with no penalty. If you have questions, please contact your course coordinator: Lauren Miller at lcm5103@psu.edu or Paula Parker at prc11@psu.edu.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution and with your health and the well-being of our community in mind.
