We offer several course delivery options, allowing you to decide which one is right for you and your schedule. No matter which delivery method you choose, you can be assured that the course will feature the same quality and experienced instructors that you’ve come to expect from our Criminal Justice Professional Training program.
In-Person Courses*
In-person courses are taught on-site, joining together an experienced instructor and a classroom full of individuals in the criminal justice field.
Virtual Courses (Zoom)*
Our virtual courses join students and instructors who are all online using Zoom video conferencing. A virtual course offers the same content as an in-person course and all students meet at a scheduled time. Zoom breakout rooms are used for group activities. Virtual courses allow CJPT to teach multiple agencies in many different states in one session and often offer insight into other departments throughout the United States.
*Opportunities for Hybrid Learning
When an in-person course coincides with a virtual course, students from the two classes learn together in a hybrid environment. This creates an opportunity for students to learn from two instructors and engage with classmates outside of their local area.
Asynchronous Courses (Canvas)
Asynchronous courses are self-paced and online using a learning management system called Canvas, with an instructor moderating course objectives and discussions. This course is taken on your own schedule and allows you work at your own pace.
